The Independent American Is The Only American That Matters

So, around the middle of 2021 I made a ranting observation on SocMed that garnered the attention of my erstwhile sister, who spends most of her time in radio silence. She’s busy…with, you know…stuff. But anyway, she apparently follows what the rest of us have to say, or she would not have even known that I had offended her. But clearly, I did. Hence her reply. Now, without revealing the specifics of my rant, or what it was at the time that inspired me, suffice it to say that I was ranting about the rank injustices confronting the citizens of this country on a daily basis by a dominant political party and their sycophantic agents and drones. I leave it to you, dear reader, to decide for yourself which party I ascribed said rant to on that day. But my sister? Well she most definitely counts herself among that group, based on her reply: “Oh, so you want to kill me? Your own sister? Good to know.” To which I responded: “No! I don’t want any harm to come to you at all. Which is why I so desperately want good people like you to be freed from the bondage that blind loyalty to your political benefactors has brought you!”  Once I framed it that way, well…she went silent again. 

To be clear, I wish no American Citizen ill will. But, in case you haven’t figured it out yet, I FUCKING HATE BOTH PARTIES! And I am not very fond of any American who sides with them. Indeed, I find you to be contemptible, weak willed, pathetic, lesser Americans in general. Even still, I do not blame you for your condition. But rather, I pity you. You lead such a limited American existence. You truly believe that you must choose a side: Red or Blue. Because that’s what you were raised to believe. But don’t blame your parents for that, because they were raised to believe it too; as were their parents, and their parents, and their parents, and their parents…all the way back to the beginning of this country and before. So the problem, you see, is generational. 

Back then, that was as much a result of environmental conditions as it was ideological differences. Back then, the parties provided the resources needed to connect the people with their government. Back then, the media was the vehicle for the facilitation of representative government by bringing the message from government to the people and from the people to the government, through the earlier iterations of the present day Republican and the Democrat parties. Back then, ideological fights happened in government, so that the citizens could express their concerns, and then go about their daily lives, knowing that their elected officials would have those fights on their behalf. So, while the corruption, the power madness, the greed, the lust, and the selfishness among the two ruling parties has always been a feature and not a bug; back then they were a necessary evil to make this grand experiment of ours at least minimally operational. The distances between worlds in pre telegraph America were vast; and as such the weekly print news and the mail of the snail were the only ways to exchange information over any great distance with regularity. So the ruling parties were insulated from the various and detestable human failings that the rest of people were experiencing every day. Sure, they knew it was happening, but they had no real worries about anyone doing anything about their job performance, besides voting. Even in the earliest days of the Republic, the parties controlled the entire message coming out of government. The only real threats that they have ever faced were from themselves. In science, they call that the apex predator. When it came to holding power in America, the Republican and Democrat parties were the two headed apex predator that no one could control, or defeat. But this is not back then. 

Today, the beast has no teeth, or at the very least it’s wearing dentures. The ruling parties are obsolete and they know it. So, for all you diehard red and blue loyalists out there, I ask this: Why can’t you see this reality, swirling around you, like a burning shark-nado in a cow pasture? I’ll tell you why. Because you are content with the modern day equivalent of weekly print news and snail mail. You can’t handle the scope and speed of the information highway today, so you choose to pull off at the nearest rest stop and just wait until someone else stops to use the stall next to yours and feed you what is happening out there in the scary modern world. And do you know who owns all of those information outhouses on the side of the road? You guessed it. The stalls only come in two colors. 

That fellow citizens, is why you love your party so much and hate the other guys even more. In a time when everyone can know everything, everywhere, in a matter of seconds, there is no real “news” as we once understood it; there is only information. Something is news today, by nature of it being newly discovered information today. But that only lasts about five minutes before the internet has taken it global. In response, the two ruling parties simply shifted the media from reporting news to conveying messages. It is in their best interests for you loyalists to not look too closely at the people behind the curtain, because they know how easily you could. So they distract you with the only thing they can, fear. From fear, they unpack loathing, from loathing they unpack spite, and from spite they lock you into hate. Once they get you to hate, they own your sad cultist asses. Once they get you to hate, then they can aim your hate at whoever or whatever they want to. They don’t care about collateral damage. They don’t care if you never talk to Grandma again, because they need her vote, and yours; more than you need your family, or your friends, or your job, or your health, or your safety, or your property, or your neighborhood, or your country, or your fucking planet. Think about it, you don’t even know why you’re a Republican or a Democrat, if you’re not getting paid for it. You have no interest in their politics of power, you only know what you love about your team and hate about the other team. You have a life. It’s yours. They didn’t make it for you. They didn’t give it to you. It’s yours. You earned it. You live it. And yet, they have been there since before you were born, they will be there after you die, and they have shaped every day of your lives. They have both been there since the beginning of our country; presiding over the failures that led to every major domestic horror in our long and illustrious history of blowing shit up just to see what happens, and all the while they have mastered their illusionary skills, adapting to every technological advancement in information as it comes along, because they long ago ensured that they would be the first ones to get it. Really, they only have one job to do. No, not running the government, LOL. They’re job was, is , and always shall be keeping the status quo. The only real difference between back then and now, is that back then information was slow to move and easy to manipulate, whereas today it’s moving at warp speed, and even easier to manipulate. The fact that it’s still working so well today is a testament to the laziness and timidity of the modern party loyalist. Seriously, you fuckers are sad. It’s right in front you face everyday, but you skip over it in search of the information you are conditioned to crave. Spend as much time seeking out opposing points of view in your feeds as you do scrolling the comments sections of the three “sources” you mainline everyday, and it won’t take you long to see the matrix for what it is. Then you will start to see the Republican and Democrat Parties for the cancers that they are. Then you will start to understand how damaging it is to continue to prop up these relics of the past.

I hear you out there, you bleeding heart liberals, and heartless conservatives. I hear you shouting at me for hating so hard on you. But that’s not what I am doing at all. You're passionate about this American life of ours. I get it. I am too. “YOU HAVE TO PICK A SIDE!” you say. “THERE IS NO MIDDLE!” you say. “YOU’RE EITHER A LIBERAL OR A CONSERVATIVE!” you say. But is that really all you are? Conservative or Liberal? And what does that even mean? Are you Conservative about everything? Liberal about everything? How does that even fucking work? Are you a robot? Because there’s really only one way any human being stays rigidly unchanging about everything; programming. But more likely, it's an illusion. You haven’t really been programmed to think only one way about everything, but rather you have been programmed to ignore those other thoughts rattling around in your head. Thoughts like “Maybe dumping my family to chase down JFK Jr’s ghost while slurping community bleach in Texas wasn’t the most life affirming decision of my life.” or “I don’t really want to defund the police, I just couldn’t think of a better way to say that I want nicer cops patrolling the streets, and less military surplus robo-cops, at the time.” 

Bottom line is this, you’re programmed by the ruling parties to believe that their priorities are your priorities. You are being held captive from the natural order of things in a Democratic Republic. They don’t want you to be too well educated. They don’t want you to be too comfortable with your neighbors. They don’t want you working together to make the nation, and by proxy the world, a better place. They don’t want an actual functioning Democratic Republic at all. Shit, why would they? After all, both of those words mean “people power”, not “party power.” So, they convince you all, the Reds and the Blues out there, every day, that party power IS people power. Which is, of course, pure bullshit. 

So by allowing yourselves to be held prisoner by the ruling parties, you allow them to reduce you as an American Citizen. By allowing them to tell you how to think, how to feel, who to hate, they take away your most basic and powerful right to freedom of choice. They don’t inspire you to come together to solve your mutual concerns. They don’t even let your kids go to school anymore without fucking with them. And you let them. They make you all into lesser Americans.  Your party loyalty gives them your vote before you ever even cast it. Your party loyalty gives them the power to lull your senses and compels you to just vote Red or Blue. You’re not independent minded. If you were, you wouldn’t be a part of either party. You would be actively engaging every possible solution out there. You would be asking your favored rulers why they aren’t out there actively engaging every possible solution out there as well, instead of limiting themselves to only opposing the other side's ideas. Vote for conservatives. Vote for liberals. But vote for change. Real change. The kind of change that can only come by recognizing when you’ve been used as a means to an end. We the people; our minds, our hearts, and our votes have always been the unwitting tools of their trade. But we the people are not the perpetrators of the nearly 300 year old criminal enterprise that is the two ruling parties. The only way out of this mess is to get rid of the people responsible for it. Until there are more Independent Americans voting than there are Republicans or Democrats, things are never going to change. Today, it just doesn’t matter if you claim to be a Republican voter or a Democrat voter. 

The future belongs to the only American that matters…The Independent American. 

So be one, or get the hell out of the way.
